Oh Pluie...(English)
Oh, Pluie...(Oh, Rain...)
Oh, wonderful Rain, flooding our plains,
Collapsing our roads, watering our fountains down,
Don't deprive us of your visit this winter,
In order that the Country Of Cedars* persist green,
And that the roses in the Bekaa blossom,
And that happiness invade Gibran's Country*
And life will be great there,
There, we will rise incense into the sky,
The Al Joz river* will always shoot out!
Oh, Rain, visit us abundantly this winter,
Oh, I pray only for very few things,
In order that the Country Of The Cedars persist Green!
Joseph Hawly
